Catalan Science Week (Setmana de la Ciència a Catalunya)

Catalan Science Week (Setmana de la Ciència a Catalunya) is a joint program of activities, including more than 300 events for disseminating scientific knowledge throughout Catalonia, organized by the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation (FCRI). It involves nearly 150 entities in the research system: universities, research centres, museums, associations and companies, among which CTTC is included. Science Week aims to offer society, especially young people, original and up-to-date formulas for transmitting scientific knowledge that stimulate future scientific vocations. At the same time, Science Week catalyses the effort in scientific dissemination of the entire Catalan research system. CTTC participates in the Science Week via high-level technical talks that provide an overview of the different research activities in which CTTC is involved and includes guided tours to the CTTC labs performed by CTTC researchers. Sergio Barrachina (CTTC) provided a talk on CTTC’s lab facilities and experimental activities with a focus on the MARSAL project.
